Resisting temptation gets harder and harder as more information about the upcoming album “RESIST” surfaces. The band has 3 brand new collaborations in store for their fans, according to the magazine Metal Hammer. The first one, “The Reckoning” – with guest artist Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach, is set for release on 14 September 2018.

The Reckoning

The lead single and opening track for “RESIST”, “The Reckoning” featuring Jacoby Shaddix (vocalist of Papa Roach), is according to Metal Hammer “the heaviest riff the band has ever written”. They point out resemblances to Korn and an electronic influence like Skrillex.

Raise Your Banner

Anders Fridén, vocalist of In Flames, will join Within Temptation  for “Raise Your Banner” on the new album. Described as a “proper metal song” by Sharon, and Robert praising Anders’ destinctive voice, this song is the result of Within Temptation and In Flames both being around for quite some time.

Firelight

And last, but certainly not least, Jasper Steverlinck will join the band for “Firelight”. Sharon and Jasper both appeared on “Liefde voor muziek” earlier this year. “Firelight”is a  dark folk-pop song that was originally written for Sharon’s  solo project “My Indigo”. The song didn’t make it to that album, due to being “too dark”.
