After months of silence, Within Temptation finally released some news into the world. Not much about their upcoming and seventh full length studio album, better known with the hashtag #WT7. But what they did was a quite unexpected move, especially after the recently announced vinyl records by Sony BMG Music Entertainment Germany….
Back to the roots
As we spoke earlier about, the seventh full length studio album of the Dutch rock band, is going to be back to the roots. Heavier, bigger, bombastic and orchestral. Their announcement they made through their official newsletter is a nice hint to their upcoming work.
Back to the beginning, to our debut EP “Enter” and its follow up EP “The Dance“! This is where it all started more than 20 years ago!
It has been years since both EP’s have been individually manufactured and the time has come for both EP’s to be released on vinyl for the very first time.
Enter on Vinyl LP
Together with “The Dance”, “Enter” was released on CD only, back in the early Within Temptation days. The band will now release this release on strictly limited quantities and special coloured vinyl discs. The vinyl package of “Enter” includes a 4-page booklet with pictures and lyrics. The first pressing is available as a limited edition of 5000 individually numbered copies on coloured (transparent green, solid white & black mixed) vinyl. Numbers 1-500 are exclusively reserved and available via the official Within Temptation webstore. Release is set for 12 October 2018 19 October 2018.

The Dance on Vinyl LP
The follow-up release, the EP “The Dance”, also gets it limited run on vinyl LP. The Dance was released shortly after “Enter” in 1997. The 5 track EP will be released as a limited edition of 3.000 individually numbered copies on transparent red coloured vinyl. Numbers 1-300 are exclusively reserved and available via the official Within Temptation webstore. Release is set for 12 October 2018 19 October 2018.

Enter + The Dance reissue
Together with these two releases, Within Temptation also decided to give their “Enter + The Dance” CD release a reissue. The original release is still for sale on resellers such as Amazon. “Enter/The Dance” will be available as a combined first edition of 2500 individually numbered copies. The package will be a jewel case with an O-card including a 12-page booklet with pictures and lyrics. The special pre-order via the official Within Temptation webstore. Release is set for 12 October 2018 19 October 2018.

[UPDATE] – 19 September 2018
Unfortunately, a delay in production of the three reissues has occurred. Dutch and German suppliers informed us about the unfortunate delay. Dutch reseller Bol.com has pushed the release of the three releases back with only one day for now, German reseller Amazon with one week. The releases, with Music On Vinyl and Music On CD, are delayed with ‘at least one week’, according to Amazon Germany.
Other special releases
Recently, Sony BMG Music Entertainment Germany also revealed special info regarding the release of three special releases. “Black Symphony” for the very first time on vinyl LP, “An Acoustic Night At The Theatre” reissued on limited vinyl and the CD release of their 2005-release “The Silent Force Tour”.
