Vertigo Records Germany
Today, Vertigo Records Germany – part of Universal Records – announced their collaboration with the Dutch rock band. The Berlin-based label is set to represent the Dutch band exclusively worldwide.
“New evolution in sound”
Since 1996, Within Temptation has sold over 3.5 million records worldwide, making them the Dutch most successful musical export product. Their last album, “Hydra”, reached many top 10 album charts, including the American Billboards. The band is currently working on their seventh studio album. Which will be the first to be released by Vertigo/Universal Music Germany. Sharon den Adel and Robert Westerholt on their deal:
We’re very excited to work with the Universal team on our next release. Currently we’re putting the final touch to our new album that clearly marks a new era in the evolution of our sound. Universal Music is the perfect partner for us to go on this new road, given their vision and expertise on both the online and physical markets. We have a European Tour lined up this Fall and are looking to visit the rest of the world in 2019 to companion the release of the new album.
New Album
The new and seventh Within Temptation album is scheduled for release somewhere 2019 and is promised to bring us a completely new sound. Will “The Unforgiving 2.0” be a fact? Several band members talked about a concept à la “The Unforgiving” in the past. The future will learn…
