The Dutch magazine FMH (For Him Magazine) made a top 500 with the 500 most pretty woman of the Netherlands.
And of course, Sharon was included! She ended on place 106, right before Anneke van Giersbergen – which ended on place 107.
As you know, Within Temptation was nominated for three Loudwire Music Awards. You had till January 1 to vote, and the winners are known!
And we did it! Within Temptation won THREE out of three times!
2011 Rock Album of the Year : WITHIN TEMPTATION (42,44%)
2011 Rock Goddess of the Year : SHARON DEN ADEL (40,45%)
2011 Artist of the Year : WITHIN TEMPTATION (34,18%)

2012 started of great by wining 3 Loudwire Music Awards! Tnxxx à lot for voting for us! After all your nice words it’s safe to say that we can only thank you for this, as Loudwire reported:
“Within Temptation fans proved their devotion by helping the band win two of the biggest honors in the 2011 Loudwire Music Awards — Artist of the Year and Rock Album of the Year. In the Artist of the Year category, Within Temptation beat out 9 other very deserving bands.”
And also in Loudwire self acclaimed most important category, ‘Rock Goddess of the Year’ you helped Sharon out to win this title.
“In our most popular category, Within Temptation singer Sharon den Adel edged out Evanescence singer Amy Lee to win the Rock Goddess of the Year in the 2011 Loudwire Music Awards.
More than 50,000 fans voted in the Rock Goddess of the Year category, and only a few hundred votes separated Sharon den Adel from Amy Lee. The Within Temptation frontwoman received 40.5% of the vote, while the Evanescence vocalist garnered 39% of the vote.
It was a fierce battle, but credit must go out to den Adel and her adoring fans, who voted religiously throughout the past month.”

Today, December 22, is the day DTMD was born. Back in 2005 it all started as a small fan site, which grew to this number one international Within Temptation fan site.
We’re happy to announce we’re 6 years online, and are hoping for a lot more years!
From this month on, DTMD and the official Within Temptation fan club The Silent Force, will go their separate ways.
Since early 2010 was DTMD in exclusive partnership with the fan club to receive and give news from and to the fan club.
From this month on, DTMD will go on as separate fan site, and The Silent Force will go on as fan club.
We believe this is the best to keep both – fan site and fan club – as positive and as healthy sites as possible.

A while ago, you could’ve voted for the “Album of the Century”, on the RoadRunner Records website. The results are known, and Within Temptation is in the Top 10! TWICE!
“The Unforgiving” and “The Heart of Everything” have made it to the 9th and 10th place in the top 30 of best albums of the 21st century. Sophie Cleverly-Edwards called The Heart of Everything “A truly epic and beautiful album” and James Spowart said the following about The Unforgiving: “Amazing music and vocals, and the album even has a comic book that follows the album storyline – how many bands have that?”
