Exciting news! Within Temptation will perform at Royal Park Live, in Baarn, the Netherlands on Thursday 11 July 2019. Support act for this show: the Dutch singer-songwriter Anneke van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), whom they’ve collaborated with in the past.
Royal Park Live
The location of Royal Park is, as the name might have spoiled a bit, at a very special location. It will be held at the formerly Royal Park at Palace Soestdijk. The Dutch Royal family were occupying the palace until 2004. Nowadays, the beautiful gardens of the palace are open for visits and the garden is used for Summer Night Concerts like Royal Park Live.
On several days, the Summer Night Concerts will take place, next to Within and Anneke van Giersbergen artists like Tom Odell, Guus Meeuwis and BLØF will perform at Royal Park Live as well.
Support act: Anneke van Giersbergen
The timing of the Within Temptation show is known already. At 5PM, the festival fields will be officially opened. The support act(s) will start at 5:30PM and Within Temptation will perform at 9PM.
The support act which got announced with this announcement is the ex-The Gathering Dutch singer-songwriter Anneke van Giersbergen. For most Within Temptation fans, Anneke is known for the amazing collaboration at their Black Symphony show in 2008. Within Temptation and Anneke van Giersbergen collaborated that night with the song “Somewhere”, taken fro “The Silent Force”.
Later, Anneke van Giersbergen re-recorded the song acoustically for her studio album “Pure Air”, Sharon sang on this version as well. During a couple of live shows during the “The Unforgiving Tour”, Anneke made her appearance during the song “Fire And Ice” – and with her current tour “Inchecken”, Anneke included the solo acoustic version of “Somewhere” to her set.
